Our area’s K-12 schools meet the needs of a diverse and multi-faceted student population. Here’s how:

  • With schools that stack up against the best in the country —including three silver medal winners in U.S. News & World Report’s 2009 edition of “America’s Best High Schools”: East Lansing, Okemos and Williamston.

  • Foreign-language immersion programs in Chinese and Spanish

  • 18 pupils/teacher

  • $5729 in school expenditures per student

  • 536 students per librarian (versus a national average of 907)

  • An exceptional mix of public, private and charter school options

  • Nationally recognized magnet schools

  • A tuition-free Montessori program (through the Lansing School District, plus three private Montessori schools)
